This webinar will provide an introduction to cranial imaging for the advanced practice provider. Familiarity with neuroradiology imaging studies and imaging findings is of utmost importance in providing patient care. The goal of this session will be to review computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the brain, discuss the strengths and differences of each modality for common pathologies, review indications and appropriateness criteria for imaging and how to choose the ideal study for common clinical scenarios, and review imaging features of commonly encountered intracranial pathologies.

Margaret Chapman, MD
Dr. Margaret Chapman is an Assistant Professor of Radiology and Program Director of the Radiology Residency at Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her MD at Tufts University School of Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology residency at Boston University Medical Center, and Neuroradiology fellowship at the University of Washington Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. She is a board certified radiologist with an additional Certificate of Additional Qualification in Neuroradiology
Prior to medical school, Dr. Chapman earned her AB in Biology from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, graduating with distinction and honors. She was then employed at Roche Pharmaceuticals in Palo Alto, California, in the department of Inflammatory and Viral Diseases Unit, where her responsibilities included utilizing the sub-genomic Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) replicon as a model for interrogating small molecule antiviral efficacy, several of which were enrolled in clinical trials.
Dr. Chapman’s interests include head and neck imaging and imaging of brain tumors.
